Lindsey & John - March 2008

Hello Everyone!

We always ask people how they met and Lindsey & John were set up by matchmaking mutual friends. By the way, John proposed on one knee in front of their entire church! Great couple.

If you are making wedding plans I hope you come by our booth on Sunday April 6 at the Crabtree Marriott from 1-4PM. This is the perfect size show with a select number of vendors and not as crowded as some other shows. I still have some free tickets if you send me an e-mail I'll get them right out to you.

Photographers haven't changed much in the past 100 years. We are at our happiest when we are buying new cameras.

However cameras have changed and so have the prices. In 1908 a top of the line camera cost about $18 (about $425 in todays money). $425 won't buy much of a professional camera these days!

The life of a professional camera is about 24 months. By that time the camera makers have come out with newer models with more features and we can't resist shopping! Seriously, after two years of heavy duty use, it's time to trade up to new equipment since these are the tools of our trade. Our clients count on us to use the best tools available.

And we just bought new cameras!

Hello All. Just want to let you know that the studio will be closed today through noon on Wednesday so we can attend the annual PPNC convention.

(Don't worry Lindsey & John we are shooting your wedding tomorrow!)

The convention is a chance for us to meet and exchange ideas with fellow photographers from all over North Carolina. We also will be attending seminars given by the very top experts in the industry nationwide.

We will come back fired up with inspiration and ready to try out new ideas.
