We made the move to Durham!

Mark Jacoby Wedding Photography
at Jim Shaw Studios

Specifically 2613 West Carver Street (Carver Street at Guess Road) - just ½ mile off of I-85.

We are fortunate to be at Jim Shaw Studios. Jim is one of the most respected photographers in the area and we will instantly have more to offer our clients in the way of expanded services and products. Just wait until you see his family and child portraits!

Come see us. We are as always open by appointment. Give Anne a call!

OK, why make the move from Raleigh to Durham? Several reasons but most important is that Durham is central to our Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill client base and is close to Duke Gardens.

Meanwhile, we have weddings, engagement and bridal sessions to shoot over the next couple of weeks. We are into the big wedding season and are happily busy. We are also taking bookings for 2008.

Thanks for your continued interest and support!

April 7, 2007 Wedding - RTP

I never saw a happier couple and such nice people. We have been blessed with great clients!

We will release the details about or new studio on Friday! Ok, well maybe it won't make the evening news but it's pretty exciting to us.

We shot a bridal session that was more of a bridle session. The bride's horse played a major role in todays shoot. We will post some samples after the wedding. All I will tell you for now is that it was a lot of fun!

Big News! We are moving to another studio by the end of April.

It's a larger studio and will better serve our clients. We will provide all the details in a few days and will be contacting all of our brides & grooms. Stay tuned!

Last weekend Mark shot a wedding and reception at the Marriot RTP while Anne braved the chilly Duke Gardens! This weekend we are both shooting a wedding in Chapel Hill and look forward to better weather.

Next week I'll see if I can give you some updated images from recent weddings.

"Why" we are asked, "should we use two photographers at our wedding?"

Quite simply a single shooter can only be at one place at one time. When one is shooting the bride walking down the aisle who is snapping the tear in the goom's eye? When one is taking a picture of the bride feeding cake to the groom, who is catching the shot of the crowd laughing?

Why Anne is. Or Mark is. Or one of of other great photographers is. Teamwork makes great wedding coverage.

And family makes for great holidays. We hope you are surrounded by friends and family this weekend.
